Human Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP) Normal Duodenum Organoid
Normal Duodenum Organoid – DP41N2 is a 3D epithelial organoid derived from the normal duodenal tissue of a patient with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP). Despite an inherited deletion affecting the APC promoter–exon 2 region, this organoid lacks somatic APC mutations, maintaining a morphologically normal epithelium. It preserves native cell types and crypt–villus–like architecture, offering a stable and expandable model for studying gut epithelium biology in a genetically predisposed background. Organoids are rigorously tested for mycoplasma, bacteria, fungi/yeast, and verified for identity, genetic stability, and functional performance.

- application
- For research use only. Organoid model enables studies of intestinal epithelial regeneration, stem cell dynamics, and differentiation. It is valuable for assessing how APC germline mutations affect cellular behavior before tumorigenic transformation. The organoid also supports research into inflammation, microbial interactions, and drug responses in genetically susceptible but phenotypically normal tissue—providing insights into early events in colorectal cancer development.
