Porcine Lung Organoid
Porcine lung organoid are 3D models created from porcine pluripotent stem cells or primary lung epithelial progenitors. These organoids replicate critical aspects of pig lung structure, including airway and alveolar-like regions. Given the similarities between pigs and humans, porcine lung organoids are particularly useful for studying respiratory infections, zoonotic diseases, and drug efficacy. These organoids are pivotal for preclinical research and human-relevant lung disease modeling due to the human-like lung physiology of pigs, making them ideal for translational research in pulmonary health. Organoids are rigorously tested for mycoplasma, bacteria, fungi/yeast, and verified for identity, genetic stability, and functional performance.
